Sydney Homan Murray

PT, DPT, OCS

Sydney was born in Huntsville, AL where she grew up playing a wide variety of sports but found her true love for tennis in middle school. From junior tennis to college, she has always been surrounded by coaches and trainers who emphasized the importance of strength training to prevent injury. She played tennis at Wingate University for 4 years, earning All- American honors, along with learning the importance of team collaboration and goal setting. The “team” aspect of helping patients return to what they love led her to physical therapy.

Sydney earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Alabama in 2022. She treats orthopedic patients in the outpatient setting. She recently achieved her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) after completing 2,000 hours of direct patient care in orthopedics and passing her certification exam. Sydney is also certified in dry needling the upper and lower body (FDN 1 and 2).

Sydney believes in creating individualized treatment plans for each patient. Ensuring that she listens to each person’s goals, apprehensions, and story is her priority. Her practice is based upon respect, trust, commitment, growth, and teamwork.

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”
– Henry Ford

From helping people return to a sport or take care of a grandchild, She enjoys meeting new people and creating unique prescriptions. “I’ve had the good fortune of receiving treatment on three different occasions at Pinnacle Therapy. Once for a hip problem, once for my shoulder, and also treatment for vertigo/dizziness. Each experience was a success. Expert advice, spot-on therapy and always conducted in a highly professional manner. Highly recommended!”
