Amy Slater is a mom of two sets of twins, a personal trainer for over 2o years, a Fellow of Applied Functional Science, a practitioner of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, and a passionate health coach for moms. Amy is the creator of the Resilient Mama Method that helps Moms reintegrate their core and pelvic floor from the inside out so they can start feeling like their whole self again!
Amy was a competitive trail racer and professional cyclist for over 10 years. After having her first set of twins, her health took a turn and she struggled to regain her identity in her new role as mom. Amy had huge physical challenges after the first set of twins and began noticing the flaws in womens postpartum care at that time. She studied ancestral nutrition and built her recovery nutrition protocol and the boys’ first foods around an ancestral way of eating. She poured herself into education, on how to heal herself and nourish two healthy humans. Amy had a major diastasis after her second set of twins and began building her Resilient Mama Method as she knew her nutrition, the environment she built and the habits she created would need to be both sustainable and working towards a larger goal of family health while also rebuilding her body.
This past year Amy went through a full abdominoplasty to bring back the tensioning in her abdominal wall. She built a recovery protocol for the procedure and now councils moms who are considering abdominoplasty or who have gone through the procedure. Her Resilient Mama Method is designed to put the power back in the Mom’s hands and give them the tools to take control of their health and their family’s health for the rest of their lives.
Amy lives in North Carolina with her husband, her two boys and two girls, and golden lab, Judge.
