Joyce Gorman, MS, RYT, NBC-HWC has a deep passion for yoga, mindfulness and wellness. Her personal and educational experiences have shaped her understanding of health and inspired her desire to promote well-being to others.
Joyce is a registered yoga teacher who instructs in a way that makes yoga and mindfulness accessible. She provides a gentle practice that promotes breath and body regulation in order to encourage physical ease and a sense of calm. Her pelvic yoga series is dedicated to providing comfort to those with pelvic health related concerns. The postures and instruction are meant to bring familiarity with the breath and awareness of the body and one’s overall experience. She is grateful for how yoga and mindfulness have transformed her everyday life. As someone who has struggled with low back and pelvic pain, it brings her great joy to be able to support others with the many benefits of these practices.
As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Joyce works with her clients to create healthy lifestyle improvements uniquely tailored to their values and areas of desired growth. Her aim is to impact societal health outcomes through a multidimensional perspective led by sustainable health behavior change.
Joyce received her master’s degree in kinesiology and integrative wellness from Point Loma Nazarene University and a bachelor’s of psychology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She performed research in psychology and mindfulness at UCLA and Harvard University respectively.
